Another reason to ride your bike.

Every year over 100,000 Americans die in car crashes. Click here to get info on car-related deaths in Illinois from the Illinois Department of Transportation. In 2008 8 fatal crashes have taken 10 people’s lives in Kane County–6 drivers and 4 passengers.

As a bicyclist and car driver I find it interesting that, in the last five years, only one bicyclist has died in a car crash in Kane County while 186 people have died either driving or riding in cars.
